How renting with us works

We keep it simple. Here's the whole process, start to finish.

  1. 01

    Book a viewing

    Pick a property, send us a note or call. Sean — not an agent — will show you round at a time that suits you.

  2. 02

    Apply & reference

    A short application and standard referencing. We aim to give you an answer within three working days, and we'll tell you honestly where you stand.

  3. 03

    Sign & move in

    Deposit protected in a government-approved scheme, a proper inventory done together on day one, and Sean's direct number on the fridge for anything that comes up.

Who we are

Pillarbox Property is a family business run by Sean Ogilvy — we invest in, look after and rent out properties across the south of England, from student houses in Bristol and Winchester to cottages in the West Berkshire countryside.

We don't use a managing agent. When the boiler plays up, you call Sean directly — the same person who showed you round and handed you the keys.

And the name? Look closely at our front doors. Most of them are pillarbox red.
